Kindergarten autumn 2025
This fall, we at Engesund Visningssenter have invited local kindergartens to a free and educational day with us. It has been a pleasure to welcome so many curious and engaged children, and for those of us who work here, the visit has been one of the highlights of the entire season.

Learning
The day starts with a simple introduction about what fish we have and why we have the fish. The children get to see live feeding and learn more about what the fish eat and how we take care of them. Then the trip continues on a boat trip to the raft, this is always a big highlight!

On the raft, the children themselves get to try hand-feeding the fish. This is an activity that the children find particularly fun.

On the raft we join together to “make fish” for aquariums that are ready. We have set up one aquarium for each kindergarten, and these will be on display at our place in the future. That way the children can come back and visit their fish, or bring their family to visit another day.

Lunch of rainbow aure
The kindergartens that requested it were also served our popular dish Ship o hoi : fried rainbow trout with spices, potato wedges, fresh salad and our homemade dressing. This has been a great success, several children have even asked for refills! It makes us extra happy, because that is exactly what we want: for children to have good and positive experiences with fish as food.

Now that the season is coming to an end, we are left with a series of beautiful moments! Little joys in everyday life that are easy to take for granted. We would like to say a big thank you to all the kindergartens who have come to visit. You have made our autumn very special.
